Accountable Reimbursement Plan

New Business DevelopmentWith a formal accountable reimbursement plan, expenses for business use are reimbursed back to the employees (who properly comply with the terms of the plan) and are deductible by the company. In addition, payments are excluded from the employees gross income and, thus, are exempt from income tax withholding and employment taxes. The rules apply on an employee-by-employee basis.
